It uses smooth flowing movements that tone and stretch your body and increases strength and flexibility in your muscles and joints. It utilises the power of the mind to help with the exercises and to increase harmony between body and mind. Pilates exercises have been designed to work the muscles of the body as efficiently as possible in the minimum time. The low impact exercises treat the body as a whole and are very effective.
